I Met This Guy Last Night
He’s 37-years-old. WTF?! So. I went out for the third straight alcohol-fueled night in the dirtbag desert. Night 1 was a drama-filled birthday outing. Night 2 was almost about the same. Night 3 was interesting. After serving a carne and pollo asado barbecue to these four L.A. chicks who were...

One night, when I was living in the Southern California desert, my roommate and I were entertaining these four girls who drove into town from Los Angeles. They were your typical nightlife/fashion model set whose typical night involved socializing and getting with the fashionable lad of the moment. Needless to say, I was out of place with this set, me being the shlubby, dark Asian kid from Texas.

Expectations vs. Reality from (500) Days of Summer
Never goes a day when my expectations align with reality. Applicable to every waking moment of my life.

A Respectable Week
Better than some others in recently memory. I scored an interview for being forward, upfront, and assertive, which are some things I’m not usually associated with unless alcohol was involved. Alcohol was not involved.
Also, my pub quiz team, a rag tag group of 20-somethings, placed for the first time—a respectable 3rd.
In addition, I got to see one of my good California girl friends...

The Finals Bears Bad News
First of all, the Celtics lost they’re first chance at clinching their 18th world championship. Bummer.
Because of that, game seven will air on Thursday night on ABC. If the series had not gone to seven games, ABC would have scheduled to air the last two new episodes of Better Off Ted, which is grossly underrated comedy that never got the chance to live up to its brilliant situational work...

Now I Am Dumber for Having Watched It
I’m a man of sheer curiosity. Try something once and feel bad about, I won’t do it again. Do something twice and feel extremely worse than before, I’m a dumb ass.
With that, I’m watching The Hills for the first time on my Netflix instant queue. And now, I regret watching it. I sympathize with Lauren Conrad and all her ambitions…and that’s where I go wrong. In...

Hodge Podge of Acquaintances
What I found remarkable about my stay in California was the diversity of people I hung out with. It’s amazing that you could go from talking to work colleagues in a very refine, not-gonna-embarrass-yourself-in-anyway of manner to doing shots with the “alchys” at the Village Pub. It seemed that I had to, with the best of my ability, become a chameleon, acting fit for any crowd I...

The Last Days of the First Half of My Life
In a matter of 24 days, I will officially cross into a life threshold that maybe reserved for those who are actually adept to life already. That, of course, I’m referring to is the 25 years after my birth. (Yes, I have matured to the point where I hear 25th birthday and I can’t help but see a clown with balloons and cake, all of which I definitely do not see happening.)
Anyways, I say...

Josh from CollegeHumor does a spot on impression of Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Then again, I think anyone who is able to wear glasses and a blond wig, squint their eyes, breathe heavily, and talk like Buffalo Bob from Silence of the Lambs could do a spot on impression of Phil Hoffman.
